Hello各位童鞋，今日口语侠想问你一个疑问：你晓得怎样用英语来表达女兄弟吗？在阅览和听力题型中，有时会呈现问主人公联络的标题，假定遇到的主人公是男女兄弟联络，你晓得是怎样表达的么？

一、女兄弟的表达方法

1. Girlfriend也可以简称girl

特别随意的场合可以用gf或GF，如短信(texting)或网聊(internet chat)。

eg: Have you been seeing a guy pretty steadily and would like to know if he wants

you to be his girlfriend?

2. 非婚联络中，口语一般可称女方为significant other或SO

这个词不杰出性别，只偏重亲近联络，所以也可用于男方。类似汉语的“另一半儿”、“那口子”、?俏弧钡龋恍孤痘蚣俣ɑ橐鲎纯龌蛐匀∠颍糜诔尚拿院员苊饪锉鹑恕?/p>

eg: Anyone NOT having their Significant Other in the Delivery Room?

3. Life partner一般恰当于“终身伴侣”

但与汉语不一样的是它也可以指亲近的终身火伴，不管同性仍是异性。Partner

也可以指life partner. eg: I feel more optimistic being in this relationship. We decided we are going to be life partners.

4. Soulmate或soul mate可以指女友或老婆

也可以指未必有亲近联络的精力伴侣，有必定的奇妙或宗教意味。另外，mate也可以指女友。这几个词不区别性别。

eg: So did “God”give attractive people a much higher chance of meeting

their soulmate?

5. Fiancee指订亲女友，相对概念是fiancé,及订亲男友。

eg: A 45-year-old man and his fiancée were celebrating a family holiday in

their apartment. Out of the blue the man thought that his girlfriend was taking the form of a hideous monster from a horror movie.

6. 有一些词是男女通用的，如true love、date、steady、darling、love、lover、paramour、

squeeze等。

7. 还有其它一些词可以指女友，如companion、sweetheart、heartthrob、babe等。

8. 假定是已婚男人的情人，一般用mistress eg: Picasso’s painting of his mistress will go under the hammer at London.

9. Lady friend是个成心不置可否的用语

指联络不到girlfriend的程度，但却好于friend;没有mistress或lover那种显着的性意味。一般作为宛转语(euphemism)运用，或许在情况不明的情况下作为一种保存的提法。Lady friend也用于指女方显着大于男方的情侣联络。

eg: A millionaire took his lady friend to dinner. He told her he had eaten in the finest restaurants in the world and assured her this place served the best.

10. girl friend或female friend 没有浪漫联络(non-romantic)或性联络的(non-sexual)女人兄弟可用girl friend或female friend一词。Girl friend和girlfriend也有所不一样，前者可用于指一般女人兄弟。

eg: The fine line between girl friends and girlfriends lies in sexual attraction

and flirting.

二、男兄弟的表达方法

1.男友（boyfriend）指浪漫或性联络（romantic/sexual relationship）中相对平稳（regular）的男性火伴（male companion），特别随意的场合可以用bf或BF，如短信（texting）或网聊（internet chat）。

Eg :Is Drew Barrymore scaring off her boyfriend with baby and marriage talk?

2.口语（colloquially）一般可称男方为significant other或SO；这个词不杰出性（gender-blind/gender-neutral/non-gender specific），只偏重亲近联络（intimate relationship），所以也可用于女方。类似汉语的‘另一半儿’、‘那口子’、‘她那位’等.

eg: The infant feeding preferences of significant others have been shown to influence a pregnant woman’s breastfeeding

decision.

3．Life partner一般恰当于‘终身伴侣’，但与汉语不一样的是它也可以指亲近的终身火伴，不管同性【未必是同性恋（homosexual）】仍是异性。

Eg: Katy Perry reveals she feels she has finally found a “life partner” in her fiancé

4.Partner也可以指life partner。

Eg:Donna, 33, does not believe her partner of six years intended to take his own life, and fears his actions were a cry for help.

5.Soulmate或soul mate可以指男友或丈夫，也可以指未必有亲近联络的精力伴侣，有必定的奇妙或宗教意味。另外，mate也可以指男友。这几个词不区别性别。

Eg:Within

weeks of meeting her soulmate, her eyelids erupted with eczema and her eyes had swelled to the size of golf balls.

6.假定男性年纪较大，可以用sugar daddy、gentleman caller、gentleman friend、main man、man、old man等。

Eg:By working hard, and cultivating the attentions of the trailer park manager (her sugar daddy), Diana manages to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, but there are no luxuries for Liberty and her sister.

7.有些宛转语（euphemism）也可以指男友，如admirer、companion、sweetheart等。Eg:But she just couldn’t ignore the proposal she got from one of her admirers, and she is very secretive about it.
